So my friend Mike made me a new website which happens to be named the same as my last one
www.davepetko.com and ALL of my blog entries are on it now, all of the previous entries from this blog and my tattooing blog. I plan on directing traffic from this blog directly to my website and eventually getting rid of this blog all together.
I have some news... I decided NOT to enter State of the ART this year. For those who don't know, State of the ART is the annual two week long group art exhibit which takes place every April during the World Ski and Snowboard Festival in Whistler, BC. It used to be called BraveART (2005), which saw some big names like
Shepard Fairey,
Sam Flores,
Misk,
Mars-1,
Wes Humpston,
The Incredible Amoeba,
Bigfoot 1,
Dalek,
Doze Green, and
Ricky Powell to name a few. I have been honoured to be a part of all of the BraveART exhibits and State of the ART exhibits (minus one) from the very first year. Hard to believe that it has been going for 7 years now.
I am however participating in a couple upcoming art exhibits that my friend
Arne Gutmann is organizing for Whistler and Vancouver in the next couple of months. I am excited about these exhibits, they promise to be unique, think industrial and outside the box.
Revelstoke, BC has been on my mind lately and in April I am planning a return visit, a "spring fling" if you will, to do some tattooing. It's always a really fun, good time when I'm there. As always, I will be at PINZ Boardshop and Body Art, THE place to get pierced in Revelstoke.
I am planning to be at PINZ from April 1-14th call them toll free from anywhere to set up an appointment 1-866-844-8233
I painted live at the last
CERO worldwide friends fundraiser. It was the 10th year anniversary party and was a great night, check out more
photos here. I was honoured to have been asked to be part the event again this year.
That's most of the news for now, thanks for reading.
